Weekly Good News

Ms. Iehl's class at the high school has been busy learning about different body systems. Last week, the class did 2 science experiments, one to show how blood pumps through our body and one to learn how our digestive system works.

Ms. Storey's HS Biology students enjoyed a punnett square ice cream sundae party!

Mrs. Oddy's 2nd grade classroom has been working hard on their opinion writing. Students wrote about “The Best Place to Go/Visit” . They wrote 5 paragraphs stating their opinion with a great lead, 3 reasons with examples, and a conclusion using “fancy” words. They loved sharing their papers with one another afterwards!

NHS members Owen Fulk, Kayla Shook, and Maddy Watson worked on maintaining the little free libraries. Thank you for reorganizing and restocking these for our community!

Students from the WUS Community Preschool 4 year old classes rode a school bus for the first time this week. Mr. "D" from the WUS Transportation Department led the bus presentation by taking students on a short ride through town, while teaching them about bus safety. They visited the bus garage and learned how the drivers communicate to the dispatchers using the radio, saw where the buses get repaired, and even went through the bus wash! The students enjoyed the experience and will be better prepared to ride the school bus next year for kindergarten! Thank you WUS Transportation Department for doing such a great job for our little Wildcats!
