March 2024
From the Desk of Mrs. Smith
It feels unbelievable to think that 4th quarter is only a few days away. 3rd quarter is officially complete on Friday, March 8th.
Parent Teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 20th from 3:30 - 7:00 and Thursday, March 21st from 3:30 - 7:00. Initial Parent Teacher conference notes have gone out to families. Please return these notes by Friday, March 8th. Dates and times will be sent home from teachers soon as requests from parents are returned. If your child did not make it home with the Conference Request Sheet (yellow paper), reach out to the classroom teacher to have another sent home.
Please make note on the conference sheet:
- I would like to request a conference with my child's teacher during the scheduled Parent-Teacher Conference Days.
- I prefer the grade card to be sent home and no conference.
- The teacher has requested a meeting with you.
Reminders:
- Make sure to call before 2:15 each day to make changes to your child's dismissal. This helps ensure timely changes are to be made. Please be in contact with your child's teacher or the front office with dismissal changes. Staff must hear from a parent/guardian for any adjustments to dismissal to be made.
- Car rider drop off begins at 7:35 on the corner of 20th and Monroe Street. Staff are prepared to assist students to exit vehicles. Students should NOT be dropped off at the crosswalk on 20th Street. For the safety of students, staff, and drivers on 20th street, use the car rider line each day.
- Our lost and found is filling up fast! Remind your child to check out lost and found when they visit PE or during Parent Teacher Conferences. All jackets and coats will be collected prior to Spring Break and donated to families in need.
