Saturday evening, the NBHS Prom was held at the Prairie View Reception Center in Chatham. The theme was Enchanted Forest. Congratulations to the 2024 NBHS Prom King - Tyler Moore - and Prom Queen - Schylar Spradlin! Shout out to the Junior Class and the Class Sponsors, Ms. McGuire and Mr. Mangiaracina for hosting a great Prom!

The NBHS Post Prom was held at New Berlin Elementary with games, food, prizes, and lots of fun! Shout out to Ms. Hemmerle and Mrs. Cindy Moore for all of the hard work in planning and coordinating the event AND to the parent volunteers that helped decorate and run the stations!

We are looking for volunteers from the community to serve on a Post Prom committee for next year's event. If you are interested in helping out, please email Ms. Hemmerle @ lhemmerle@pretzelpride.com

Last week, high school students and staff had fun with culture and climate activities!

The teachers participated in a Freaky Friday activity and swapped places and taught each other's classes in the morning. The PBIS Celebration was in the afternoon with country line dancing lessons, Smash Brothers Tournament, Karaoke, BINGO, Movie Options were: T-Swifty Eras Tour, Barbie, X-Men, and Meet the Titans, there was a Craft Room, a Chill Room, and outside rec activities! The day ended with a Kylar Booker getting to pie Mr. Spears in the face !

Shout out to our students and staff for making this such an awesome time for all!!

Thursday was Prom Spirit Week Meme Day- we have Pretzels with a great sense of humor!

This is a friendly reminder to complete the Parent Survey that was sent out in an email last week. Here is the information:

We will be using the Jostens Renaissance Program next year to enhance our PBIS program and the manner in which we recognize students and build a positive culture and climate.

We need your feedback to help us prioritize what we need to do!

There is no way that your answers can be tracked back. All results are tabulated by Jostens and you will not be asked any information that would identify who you are.

We want to emphasize that all people – especially our students – need to know that they matter. Thus, recognition in all its forms can contribute to students believing that they matter—that they are important to others. This survey will allow our school community to better understand if our students believe they are receiving recognition, formal and informal – which may in turn motivate them to do better academically, be caring and supportive classmates, and strive to be upstanding citizens. Having a better understanding of whether current recognition practices are hitting the mark with students will allow our school community to adjust as needed to create the most supportive environment for students as possible.

Athletic Eligibility Notification Updates: We will begin posting athletic eligibility in Skyward Family Access to notify students and parents of academic eligibility. We will plan to post it for F's only from now on. We used to send notification for D's as well; however, with this shift we will only notify those who have a failing grade and are academically ineligible for the next week. A reminder that weekly eligibility runs from Sunday to Sunday.

Art Club Members

If you are wanting to help set up for the New Berlin Art Fair later this month, you will need to have your $10 Membership Fee turned into Mr. M by Friday April 12.

Senior Class

FAFSA Completion is a graduation requirement. Be sure to get your FAFSA completed or sign off on the waiver before May 10th.

Graduation orders are in the office if you still need to pick yours up!

If you have ordered a 22.23; 21.22; and/or a 20.21 NBHS Yearbook, they are available for pick-up M-F 8am-4pm in the high school office.

We are at the Quarter 3 Mid-Term! If your student is struggling, here are some opportunities we offer for help:

• 8th Hour Advisory Tutoring – Our National Honor Society students offer peer tutoring from during Advisory. Please contact your child's teacher, Mr. Viola, or me and we will get them signed up for tutoring!

• After School Support –There is a staff member available to help your child from 3:30-4:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with homework. Please contact me if you want your child to take advantage of this support.

• HW/Lunch Detention – Students that are missing several assignments or major projects may be assigned to a homework lunch detention until they have all missing work completed and are passing all of their classes.

• High School HW Advisory Academic Support– High school students may be assigned to a homework advisory detention until they have all missing work completed and are passing all of their classes.
