The Pizitz Post
for Students, Parents & Families - April 1, 2024
Welcome Back!
We hope you all enjoyed a lovely spring break. As we get back into the routines of school for the spring season, let's remember the habits that help our students thrive. Students are at their best for school when they make time for sleep, regular routines, and screen-free time with family and friends.
Next week, all of our students have the opportunity to take the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program, known as ACAP. All students at Pizitz will take assessments in the areas of math and English-language arts. Students in sixth and eighth grades will also be assessed in science. Please note that we will have an alternate schedule each day next week. If your child arrives late to school, he/she will have to wait until testing is completed to join their classes. All students will be expected to make-up their assessments upon return if they are out for any of the mornings next week. Please avoid morning appointments next week if possible.
To learn more about the ACAP, check out the state department's website here.
