A Message from the President
As you may be aware, May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Despite its prevalence, mental illness often remains misunderstood, and those who suffer from it can face stigma and isolation.
Mental health affects all of us, either directly or indirectly, and our response to this issue can make a significant difference in the lives of many. As members of the law enforcement community, we are often called upon to serve and protect others, often in high-stress situations. Our role is demanding, and the impact of our work on our mental health can be significant.
TASRO is committed to providing training to increase mental health awareness in an effort to support those in our communities who are struggling as well as our members. Together, we can build communities where mental health is valued, and everyone feels supported. I encourage all of you to take advantage of the mental health resources available to you. If you're experiencing difficulties, remember that you're not alone, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
As an organization, we're committed to promoting mental health awareness and providing the support you need.
Thank you for your commitment to our organization and our communities. We look forward to continuing making a positive impact together.
Sincerely,
Zach Duer
