Swimming Success
All of our swimmers put in a great individual and collective effort to kick off the 2024 sporting calendar with a result they can be very proud of. Thanks to our Sports Coordinator, Karen, for her hard work, along with our parent volunteers for both events.
Next week, we look forward to cheering on our Zones Touch teams!
Works on Site
We have a couple of projects ahead this term, including installation of a brand new hall floor, in addition to a 2nd (uncovered) multi-sport turf on the top court, which we hope to get underway by the end of Term 1 if possible.
This project was funded entirely by the PTA at the end of last year using funds donated over and above the 2022/23 PTA canopy donations.
Vacancy on the Board
As you will have been made aware, a casual vacancy has arisen on the Board this year.
Having considered the available options at this stage of the current electoral cycle, the Board have indicated that they intend to fill the vacancy by selection.
In accordance with Trustee Election rules, this means that a by-election will only be required in the event that 10% of parents on the school roll request one (via email to bot@mteden.school.nz) within 28 days - otherwise, the Board will consider appointing a trustee based on the skills and background they feel would be of value at this time.
If you have any questions at any stage, please don't hesitate to contact: bot@mteden.school.nz, and remember that all Board meetings are open to the public if you are ever be interested in attending as an observer.
Colour Run
You will no doubt have heard that the PTA are planning a Colour Run for the children - please make sure you scroll down for more details of this exciting event below and get registered as soon as you can!

If your child requires medication such as asthma inhalers, antihistamine, epipens etc please can you bring up to date medication to the school office if you haven't already done so. As all medication was sent home at the end of last year.
If your child ever requires short term administering of medicine such as antibiotics this needs to be brought to the office and a permission form signed.
Thank you

If you have anf offcuts of end of rolls that you don't need, we will gratefully receive them in the Resource Room. Much appreciated. Angela.
