The Weekly Update #4
March 1st, 2024
Phoenix Perspectives
Can you believe we are already into March? Central has been celebrating Black History Month in their core classes, electives and throughout the school. Mrs. Smith worked hard this month to showcase multiple Atchison African American community members and the wonderful contributions they have given to the Atchison Community. You can check them out below. She is going to continue to update us through March, which is Women's History Month!
Be on the lookout for attendance postcards as these will be mailed next week or over Spring Break. These are just to give you a heads up on how many days your children have missed so far for the 1st three quarters of the year!
Enjoy the amazing weather this weekend and we look forward to seeing them for 4 days next week before Spring Break!

Highland Career Fair
Our Seniors, Juniors, and a couple of Sophomores were able to attend the Highland Career/Job Fair today! They got to talk to over 70 jobs in the Atchison, St. Joe and Kansas City Areas and learned what is out there for them next year!
Live School Store
Each Friday students are able to use their behavior points at our Live School store. This week the hot item were 3D Dragons! I'm pretty sure the elementary and middle school students bought every one! Its always fun to watch students trying to save their points for being ticket items and choosing things they worked hard at earning. Just a reminder too that we started a new Level System this semester. It's going really well. We continue to work out the kinks as we go!
Middle School Science
Middle Schoolers are testing out wind speeds in their science classes this week. Today they took their designs outside to test them out. If they don't work they will talk give each other feedback and try again making them better for next week!
