Family Fluency Night: Thank You!
Thank you to all our families who attended our Family Fluency Night! We were thrilled to have so many families come out and learn some fun new ways to help support students' math fluency skills at home! We look forward to planning more events like this in the future, and will update you all as the next date approaches.
March is Reading Month: Overview of Activities
We are excited to celebrate March is Reading Month at KES with a month full of fun events and activities! Here is a list of the fun we have planned:
-Dress Up Days: Please see the attached image of our dress up days calendar for your reference.
-Book Madness Bracket Challenge: Each classroom has selected a book to submit in a "March Madness" style book bracket. Classrooms will be paired against one another, and students will vote for their favorite; the book with the most votes advances. We will continue this bracket each week, with one classroom being declared the champion at the end of the month. That classroom will win a special prize!
-Rock and Roll into Reading Assembly: On March 11th, our students will be treated with a Rock and Roll into Reading assembly. Students can also dress like rock stars for our dress up day that day.
-Guest Readers: Each classroom will be treated with guest readers on different dates throughout the month. Some guests will be high school students, some will be other teachers from around the building, and some will be parents and family members from each classroom. Please continue to be on the lookout for sign-up instructions from your student's teacher if you are interested in coming in to read to your student's classroom.
