Last night we were proud to induct our newest 64 members of the Thomas National Honor Society. Congratulations to all of these students on achieving this milestone and exemplifying leadership, scholarship, service and character in and out of the classrooms at Thomas. A huge thank you to our Advisor Mr. Bertrand and NHS officers Ananya, Kristen, Logan and Luke for a smooth ceremony. Also, I big thank you to Mrs. Watras who delivered a great keynote address to our students and families. Here is a list of this year's inductees:

Titan Updates
SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDS
This is a prestigious annual competition among high school students across the country. It is judged at the regional level (this year at Alfred University’s College of Art) by local artists & college art professors. This year, more than 330,000 works of art were submitted & less than 40% won an award. There are three levels of awards given for single works of art, as well as for entire portfolios. The award categories are gold key, silver key, and honorable mention.

START HERE STUDENT EXHIBITION AT RIT
Art teachers in the Rochester-Finger Lakes region can submit up to 2 works of student art. Submissions are capped at 200 total, and then each department in RIT’s schools of Art and Design choose one work to award. All in all, 32 awards were given out and 3 of them were Webster Thomas students!

SHARED SPACES STUDENT + TEACHER EXHIBITION AT NAZARETH COLLEGE
This biennial exhibition allows any teacher in the Rochester area to choose a student and display a work of their own alongside the student work. It is a very unique experience to be able to have our works live alongside one another. The opening reception was Friday, February 9 at Nazareth College’s Arts Center Gallery.

Webster Marching Band is hosting an informational night
The Webster Marching Band is hosting an informational night for all new, interested, and returning members on April 22nd at 6pm in the Spry Cafetorium. There are opportunities for musicians, dancers, and tech crew. Come learn about the program, meet our staff, meet other kids in the band, and learn about our show this season! Students in grades 6-12 from all middle schools and high schools are welcome to join! No experience is required and EVERYONE is welcome! Lacrosse Day of Service
The JV and Varsity Lacrosse teams had our annual service day collecting garbage between both campuses at Willink and Thomas. We collected many bags of garbage and some interesting items including a chair, sled,& fencing!

SENIOR BALL
This year’s Senior Ball will be held:

Eagle Vale Golf Club
7:00 – 11:00 PM
(Dinner served at 7:30)
Senior Ball will feature a buffet dinner, desserts, an event favor, a DJ, and a photo booth.
Senior Ball tickets will be sold Monday, April 15 - Thursday April 18 before and after school in room 339 and outside of the Senior Lounge during most lunch blocks.
If you are bringing a guest who is not a current Thomas student, you need to submit a completed guest application form to your house office no later than Friday, May 10.
Expectations for Senior Ball:
You must have a ticket to enter the event.
You must be in school on Friday, May 17th in order to attend the event. If you are absent, you will not be admitted.
Once you arrive at the event, you may not leave and come back. If you leave the building, you will be asked to leave the grounds and will not be readmitted.

Flag Football
Kate is new to flag football this season. Since she has decided to play, she has come to every workout and practice. Kate has provided leadership and great play on the field. She is also an excellent student and a valued member of the Thomas community.
Craig M.
Lacrosse
Craig works hard on a daily basis all with a smile on his face. A two sport athlete, he was selected Captain this season by his peers. Craig makes the most out of every situation. He represents our program in so many ways by volunteering and giving back to the youth lacrosse programs, Craig is an excellent role model for his peers. Better Husbands, Better Fathers, Better Neighbors is our mission and Craig will be all of those and more.

Boys Track and Field
Girls Track and Field
The girls and boys teams traveled to Victor Wednesday evening to compete in their opening meet of the 2024 season Both teams lost last night in a close competition. Khimere J won the 400, Max B won the shot put, and the team won the 800/1600/3200 and both long relays. Natalia S won the 3k and Jane C won both shot and disc. Gianna L won the Long Jump and Triple jump.
Boys Lacrosse
The Titans hosted Penfield Thursday evening. They lost a hard fought battle 11-10. Brett M had 3 goals and 2 assists. Brandon T had 2 goals Carter C had 1 goal. Joe T had 1 goal and 1 assist. Lucas E had 1 goal and 1 assist. Jonah J had 1 goal and 2 assists. Jake P added a goal Reid D had an assist on the night. In goal Joshua J faced 20+ shots and made 11 saves in 48 minutes played. Next up for the Titans is a home game with Hamburg (Section 6) this Saturday at 3pm.
Girls Lacrosse
The Titans beat Hilton Wednesday night they won 14-6 . Sophie S had 5 goals and 5 draw controls Mia E had 4 goals and 2 assists. Hannah R had 2 goals. Meghan S made 6 saves in the win.
Girls Flag Football
The Titans host Greece Arcadia Saturday at 10:30 am.
Boys Golf
The Titan Golfers hosted Fairport in the opening match of the season Wednesday at the Webster Golf Club. They lost the 217-206.Owen T medaled with a 1 under 35.
Baseball
The Titans hosted Pittsford Mendon Wednesday. They lost 3-2. Joe B and Tyler E both had RBI singles. AJ L and Shane T each had a hit. Drew R had 2 stolen bases. Jake D pitched 6 ⅓ innings with 4 strikeouts and allowed 4 hits.
Softball
The Titans hosted Hilton Wednesday evening. Thomas Varsity softball beat Hilton Wednesday evening 11-0. Ella M went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Rachel W went 2 for 2. Julia M went 2 for 4 with a triple. Maddie H pitched a complete game shutout and had 5 strikeouts.
Boys Tennis
Thursday night match vs Victor was postponed due to weather.
