I can't believe that we are almost to Spring Break! I know that our students are working hard and we are proud of the progress their making! We had a great time with our student led conferences this past week and we look forward to hosting more this week! Also, I was able to attend the District Choral festival on Thursday and I was incredibly proud of our students that represented us. They truly are leaders in our district!
Our students have enjoyed our One Book, One School with the book Wonder. Those packets are due this week! To celebrate completing this book, we will have a Kindness Week with a different theme each day. Pay attention to that below so you know what your child can wear each day! Also, this week, 2nd grade will continue swim lessons and Thursday will be our End in Mind-Career Day! Spring Break starts on Friday, so there will be no school this coming Friday!! We hope everyone has a fun, safe Spring Break!
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend and we are excited to see our leaders tomorrow!

Crosswell Reads: One School One Book with Wonder
What better way to recognize finishing our One School, One Book novel all about showing acts of kindness than by celebrating KINDNESS Week this week! We will have dress up days each day to help remind us how to show kindness!
Comprehension Packet Due to Mrs. Bogle by THIS THURSDAY, March 28th!
Once your comprehension packet is turned in, your child will receive a ticket to our Reading Celebration that will occur in May! Be on the lookout for more information about this!
If your child needs to finish reading their book or complete their Comprehension packet, feel free to let them listen to the chapters aloud using the link below. We also have a digital copy of the comprehension packet if your child would rather type their answers than write them.

Parent and Guardian Leader in Me Survey
Our school is implementing a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.
Our school will be conducting surveys to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all full-time staff members, parents/guardians, and students in Grade 4 and up to participate.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through the weblink below. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household.
The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school.
Please take this survey: https://www.leaderinme.com/s/crosswell-elementary/families
Please complete the survey by: May 8, 2024
