Sunday Scoop with the Supe
March 24, 2024
News and Notes from the VPSS Central Office
From the desk of the Superintendent Tommy Byler
As we get set for a four-day week heading into the Easter/Spring Break, we look forward to some time away before the craziness we call the end of the school year.
We are set to return on April 8th, the day of the total solar eclipse late in our school day. That ominous feeling with a solar eclipse happens is kind of foreshadowing what we feel like at the end of the year, craziness and left in the dark.
State testing hits full stride, end of year sporting events, band concerts, chorus performances and other club activities are just a few of the many things that we will take on. End of year academics, end of year banquets and final preparations for the Class of 2024 graduation will also be hitting us head on. It is always a great time to celebrate the end of the year and to pump up our kids to showcase all they have learned in so many different arenas but it can be exhausting.
I hope all of finish the week strong and then take some much needed time away to prepare for the "big finish"
Have a great week and a great Easter/Spring break.
