LEAP Testing Continues
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have had a successful beginning for LEAP testing. Our 6th grade students worked very hard on their tests last week!!! As we want to continue the positive momentum, please keep in mind that state assessments are an essential measure of your child's progress and provide valuable insights into their academic growth. Therefore, we kindly request your cooperation and support during this time.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
Testing Dates: The state testing dates for our school can be found in the calendar below. 6th grade testing continues on Monday and Tuesday. 7th and 8th grade testing begins Wednesday of this week, please mark these dates on your calendar and ensure that your child is present and punctual on these days.
Importance of Attendance: Attendance during the testing period is crucial. Please make every effort to avoid scheduling appointments or vacations that may conflict with the testing dates.
Encouragement and Support: Your encouragement and support play a significant role in your child's performance. Encourage them to do their best, but also remind them that these assessments are just one measure of their abilities.
Preparation: While the assessments are designed to measure students' knowledge and skills across various subjects, it's still essential to encourage your child to review material covered throughout the year. You can help by ensuring they have a quiet and comfortable study space at home and by offering assistance with any questions or concerns they may have.
Emotional Support: Some students may experience anxiety or stress during testing. Your reassurance and understanding can help alleviate their worries. Remind them that it's okay to feel nervous and that they are prepared to tackle the challenges ahead.
Healthy Habits: Adequate sleep, nutritious meals, and regular exercise are essential for optimal cognitive function. Encourage your child to maintain healthy habits leading up to and during the testing period.
Feedback and Communication: If you have any questions or concerns about the LEAP assessments, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in your child's education. Together, we can ensure that they have the best possible opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills during the state testing period.

CHROMEBOOKS
We are so excited to continue to offer this wonderful technological tool to all of our students. Students will be issued a daily use Chromebook to complete activities; however, Chromebooks will remain on campus unless a need arises for remote learning.
Students must be in their homeroom no later than 7:23 to receive their Chromebooks in homeroom. Any student arriving after this time will not be allowed to go to homeroom to pick up their Chromebook (so as to not disturb that class). We appreciate your efforts in having students arrive at school on time.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Due to safety issues, the drop-off and pick-up area is in the back of the school by the stadium. Please do not drop off or pick up students in front of the school.
Thank you for your cooperation.
