La Palma Festival of Nations - 4/27

Calling all Fighting Irish!

Your very own JROTC, Shamrock Regiment, Cheer & Song, and Football team will be representing Kennedy at the City of La Palma Festival of Nations Parade on April 27th. Come and watch them represent their Fighting Irish school spirit at 10:30am just around the corner from campus. Afterwards, enjoy the festival full of rides, food, and cultural fun.

If you are participating in the parade, please make sure to arrive to your drop-off location on time! Participants are being asked to park at La Palma City Hall (7822 Walker Street) at the assigned time. The directions and location to park will be posted down below.

Exciting news for current and incoming Kennedy students!

We would like to officially present the dates and times for registration. Beginning July 22nd, each grade will have an assigned day they can attend to complete their registration. A makeup day will be offered on 7/26 for anyone who missed their registration dates.

For any students and parents/guardians new to Kennedy, we are hosting an informational orientation. For incoming parents, we are offering two opportunities to attend an orientation. You only need to attend one.

We are excited to grow and expand our Fighting Irish community!

I am pleased to announce the inauguration of the Kennedy Walker Korean Parent Organization (KWKPO)! Formed by parents, their goal is to bridge the gap between the schools and the Korean community. The KWKPO is working hard to support the community surrounding Kennedy HS and Walker JHS. Please join me in formally congratulating them for their first meeting!

A huge shoutout to Yoonhee Choi and Esther Park, our Korean Community Liason and Korean Interpreter for collaborating and bringing this event together!

Hello all. The next School Site Council Meeting will be this upcoming Wednesday, April 24th, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. This the agenda for the meeting. See you there!

Recently, we had an impactful presentation on the epidemic of alcohol-related crashes here in the state of California. A disproportionate amount of those accidents AND those deaths involve teenagers. In collaboration with the La Palma Police Department, AUHSD Board of Trustees, Emergency Services, and Forest Home Memorial Center, we bring you this powerful presentation in order to shed light on this issue.

Parking Lot

Kennedy High School began a two-phase Solar Panel Project in the South (Student) Parking Lot. A portion of the South Parking Lot will be closed for 6-8 months. Therefore, student parking will be limited.

It is recommended that students are dropped off at school or carpool with other students. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Parking permits are to be displayed at all times when parked in the Kennedy Student parking lot. Please see Mrs. Alvarez in the Student window if you are in need of a parking pass. You can find the application and fees HERE.
