Athletics
A big congratulations to our basketball teams. On Friday and Saturday last week they participated in the GYAC tournament in Edson. Both teams showed incredible sportsmanship and effort during the games regardless of what the scoreboard showed. During on game, our boys team noticed that a player on the other team was struggling to get a basket and they were kind enough to help him achieve that goal. It is wonderful to see the incredible leaders we have in this school! The boys team won a bronze medal and the girls won gold! Way to go Knights!
A big thank you to our wonderful coaches, Mrs. Kennedy and Mr. Setzer for their hard work, dedication, and leadership throughout the season. Coaching is not an easy job and we are very grateful that they were will to give up their time to support our athletes.
This weekend, our girls team is off to Hinton to play in zones for their final tournament of the season. Boys team windup is March 4th.
The Edson Mini Basketball organizers have changed their league format. They will no longer create teams or have tournaments, just practices. I will ask students if they are still interested and go from there.
