Dear Hyde-Addison ES Families,

Please be reminded that students will not have school next Friday, April 5, 2024, for a DCPS professional development and records day.

Enrollment season began today. Thank you to all of the families who have already enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. Please be mindful that reenrolling by early April will significantly support maintaining small class sizes. More information is shared below. There has been several updates to the district process.

Did you know that re-enrolling your child as early as possible allows us to keep class sizes small? If you know you are coming back next year, please fill out the online paperwork or email hyde.addison@k12.dc.gov for assistance. If you know you are not coming back next year, please let us know here so we can plan accordingly.

As we approach Spring Break, Hyde-Addison’s Student Support Team has partnered with St. John’s Episcopal Church to provide a limited amount of food baskets to our families. Please click here by Monday, April 1st to indicate your interest.

To enroll your child in Champions aftercare for SY24-25:

1. Create a parent portal [STEP 1]

   a. Your parent portal will give you access to billing, scheduling and many more things that will assist you.

2. Fill out the attached Enrollment Packets [STEP 2]

1. Ensure to have your REQUESTED SCHEDULE completed.

2. Ensure you fill out all 3 OSSE forms.

3. Ensure you fill out a separate form for each of your students.

4. Ensure there is contact information for primary and secondary payer (email and number).

5. Ensure you are putting your child/children grade on the enrollment form.

6. When finished please email a copy to CH002523@DISCOVERCHAMPIONS.COM.

Looking for a way to keep your kids healthy and happy this summer? Hurry and sign them up for Kids Elite Sports Camp at www.kidselitesports.com and watch how much fun they have while learning sportsmanship, life lessons, and a variety of new sports and games! Chisholm Elementary (formerly known as Tyler Elementary) is excited to host an inaugural Community Ca$h Conference on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The "College Gurl," Jessica Brown, will open the event! Then, participants will explore empowering personal finance sessions about budgeting, buying a home, & more! Free childcare and free lunch will be provided to registered participants. Registration is open now at this link.

Please be reminded to email hyde.addison@k12.dc.gov to inform the team of your child's absence, in order for it to be excused. If your child has a communicable illness, like strep throat, RSV, pink eye, or lice, please also include that information.

In case you missed the sign ups at The Five Gala, this spring we are kicking off PARENT HOSTED - ADULTS & KIDS PARTIES with all proceeds going to the PTA! The first three parties to get excited for are below. If you have any great ideas to bring our community together while fundraising for our school please bring these awesome ideas our way.

School ends at 3:25pm and students are late being picked up after 3:30pm. Please be reminded that early dismissal ends at 2:50pm and we must clear the field for aftercare students to use.
