The City of Thousand Oaks and the Thousand Oaks Police Department are teaming together to recognize pedestrian safety and the important role that crossing guards play in our community during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, March 18-22, 2024. Below are a few tips you can use to help thank your crossing guard! Learn more about grossing guards and other walk-to-school tips at walk2schoolto.org.
If you think your children are eligible, you can receive Summer EBT by filling out the District’s online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form or families may submit a hard copy version of this Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form. If you have previously filled out the Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form for the 2023-2024 school year - no further action is needed.
Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to update/review their home address in the CVUSD Q system, as the address in the District’s system is where the state of California will mail Summer EBT cards to. The CVUSD does not have a role in the physical distribution of the Summer EBT cards.
This is an in-person event on Thursday, March 14th at 6pm in Century Academy's Multipurpose Room (33 Greta Street, Thousand Oaks).
Do you have a musical instrument that no longer gets the attention it deserves? Clean out your garage or cupboard and “play it forward” by putting your instrument in the hands of a CVUSD student!
Donate your still playable instrument and the Conejo Schools Foundation will ensure the instrument is refurbished and restored before distributing to a CVUSD student or school.
Congratulations TOHS Scholars Earning Third Place in the Annual Code Quest
Thousand Oaks High School's Code Lovers Union members Victor, Hayden, and Nick earned Third Place in Code Quest, an annual computer competition where teams of two to three high school students work together to solve problems by using JAVA, Python, C#, and/or C++ programming to complete the “quest." The problem set consists of 20 to 30 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.
This year's event took place on February 24th with more than 1,800 students and 600 teams competing across 20 global locations.
Way to go, Lancers!
