Parents, we need your help!
We had a marvelous show last night! Let's make it better!
A great show is only part of the goal!
As you can see, many costume items, makeup pieces, and trash were left for others to pick up, both in the dressing rooms and backstage. This is unacceptable. All students have been told NOT to leave until everything has been put away, allowing all of us to get out of the building at an acceptable time. It is unfair to ask other actors and crew members who have their own jobs to do and took care of their things, to pick up after others.
Tonight will be a bit different.
At the end of the show this evening, students will be required to check their boxes and costumes in to the costume shop and sign out before leaving. NO ONE will be allowed to leave until everything has been cleaned and put away. A few of us were here until 10:30 last night, cleaning up after the many others who were anxious to leave. Perhaps you can see from the pictures that costumes worth nearly $400 were found on the floor of the dressing room. Makeup kits that cost families $25 were scattered around the floors. Be prepared to wait a bit longer for your student to be released this evening and tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation as we reinforce that acting is only a portion of the ensemble process.
