Create a poem, short story, or any literary masterpiece inspired by the mesmerizing beauty of a solar eclipse. Let your words paint a vivid picture of this celestial phenomenon. Whether it's a painting, drawing, or digital artwork, capture the essence of a solar eclipse through your visual masterpiece. Use colors, textures, and shapes to convey the magic of this celestial event. Make sure to mark your calendars! All submissions must be received by March 25th. This gives you plenty of time to channel your creativity and bring your unique perspective to life.
#RSDREADS is LIVE!
Our RMS Library reading incentive program is live and ready for students to start participating! Courtesy of of SOAR Reading grant and the RMS Library, each 9 weeks, students have the opportunity to win brand new free books and chances to win a Kindle Fire at the end of the semester. They can also earn a spot at the quarterly reward event. Here is how it works!

March Student and Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Harleigh Rickman, 6th grade
Harleigh Rickman was nominated by Coach Meredith. This is what he said:
"This young lady is such a good person. She works hard in anything she does and shows genuine care and concern for not only doing her best but for others too. She helps others needing help and even helps me when I need a hand."
Congratulations to Jeff Mumert, IT Department
Mr. Mumert was nominated by several staff members. This is what they said:
"Jeff is an employee that helps everyone that needs it. He makes sure students and staff get their technology fixed as quickly as possible, and he is understanding when we struggle with technology issues. He deserves Employee of the Month."
"I had an issue with my computer and needed someone to help me fix it. I put in a work order, and he was there within minutes to help me get my computer back on. He is awesome!"

All absences count towards the exemption policy except for school-related absences.
HAC Information:
It is the goal of RMS teachers and staff to keep student grades updated weekly for parents and guardians to stay aware of their child's/children's progress throughout the semester. If you are having trouble accessing HAC (Home Access Center) you can email Stacee Frazier for help with login credentials.
Student Badges
7th Grade students were issued at the beginning of this school year. It is very important that students keep up with these ID badges throughout this school year. They will need then daily as a student at RMS. These badges are used in the cafeteria to charge lunch accounts, in the library to check out books, and with our athletic department to get into events for free. Please remind your student(s) to keep their ID badge with them in a safe place every day.
Lost & Found
The Lost and Found box is filling up fast. Please have your child check by the Library doors to see if something belongs to them. We clean the Lost & Found out at the end of each month.
