Between Two Schools
Dear Thunder Families,
Thank you to all of the TMS and WMS parents who came to see John Halligan on Wednesday night. We had about 100 parents come to hear Ryan's Story and what John has learned. You can view John's resources here, including the slideshow from the other night, his parenting tips, and how to manage your child's smartphone safely through parental controls.
We work on bullying issues every day at both Thompson and Wredling and this is an important topic to us. We appreciate the time you talk to your child about your expectations for them regarding how they treat others, how bullying is unacceptable, and how they can be an "up-stander" to stop bullying. Please continue that conversation with your child!
Best regards,
Matt and Tim

Please Complete the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey
Dear TMS Parents and Guardians:
One of the ways I get feedback is through the Illinois 5 Essentials Survey. Each year parents take this survey to let us know how we are doing as a school, and how I am doing as a leader.
Can you please take 10 minutes to complete this survey? I like to get to about 50% of our parents/guardians taking this survey, so the sooner we hit that target, the sooner I can quit asking you!
Here is the link to the survey. It is in Spanish and English.
Please be sure to put in Kane County as our county so you can find Thompson. Also, please read the questions and possible answers carefully as they sometimes mix up the "importance" of the responses.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Matt
Join TMS WEB!
Thompson is looking for 7th graders who are interested in becoming the leaders of tomorrow. The WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program is looking for students who take initiative, are collaborative, responsible, and kind to mentor the incoming 6th-grade class for the 24-25 school year. Attached is more information about being a WEB leader and how to apply.
Applications can be picked up in the LRC (or printed here) and are due back in the LRC by March 8 at 3:40. No late applications will be accepted.
D303 Boundary Updates
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
