Idaho Gives
Our Annual Appeal will kick off with Idaho Gives on April 29 and will run through May 31st or until we hit our goal of $15,000. We would love your help! Please send short quotes and photos of things that you love about PPCS so that we can share our story and reach out on social media. Send notes and photos if you have them to Laura at lauraheinse@gmail.com
Thank you! We look forward to celebrating all that we have achieved in 15 years of PPCS.
Staff Changes for Next School Year
We are sorry we'll be saying goodbye to two of our middle school teachers at the end of this year, but we're happy they are moving on to exciting opportunities. Please see their messages below.
A Word from Ms. Locken
It has been my distinct pleasure to work at Palouse Prairie over the past two years. I have made the decision to not return next year as my family prepares to live abroad during the 2025-2026 school year. This coming academic year, I will remain living and working in the Moscow area and I hope to stay connected with students and families. Please feel free to stay in touch, and I look forward to watching as PPCS middle school students take their next steps in academics and in life. Thank you for the wonderful, shared experiences -- I appreciate them!
Cheers,
Nora Locken
A Word from Mr. Doucette
It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that I am sharing that I will not be returning next year to PPCS. My wife was recently hired as a Pediatric ICU nurse at Sacred Heart in Spokane, and so we will be moving out of Moscow to pursue our next adventure together. I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of colleagues and to teach so many wonderful young people. I will miss being a daily part of PPCS, but I have great joy knowing that I was able to experience my first teaching job in a school community that deeply values students.
Yours in crew,
Ben Doucette
Last Day of School, May 31
Please remember that the last day of school at PPCS is Friday, May 31. This is earlier than most years and is not the same as Moscow School District.

Hey PPCS, the sun is out, and your kids aren't the only things growing! The weeds are back, and so are Landscaping Tuesdays. If you feel like lending a hand planting or pulling weeds to improve our beautiful native landscape, come on out. We have supplies, or bring your favorites. Stay for as little or as long as you like. There will be snacks for the kids! Tuesdays 2:30-4 weather permitting.
