A Message from Principal Davis
Please note that due to the district calendar change, when we return to school from Spring Break on Monday, April 8th, we will now run an A day schedule. The revised A/B calendar is posted to the high school website and students were informed via email of the schedule adjustment.
If you have not already done so, please take a few moments to read the letter below regarding our 24-25 Master/Bell Schedule. I am very excited to announce that we will transition to a Rotating Drop Schedule in the 24-25 school year. Please join us on Tuesday, April 16th at 6:30 p.m. in the WHS Auditorium for a detailed presentation regarding the schedule change. At that meeting we will also present information about increased opportunities in 24-25 for WHS students to earn college credit in a Dual Enrollment program in cooperation with Stockton University. We are very excited about these changes in the 24-25 school year, and we believe that they will strengthen the academic program at Wall High School.
We hope all of our students and staff have a great Spring Break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school refreshed and ready on April 8th!

Solar Eclipse Letter to Parents
Dear WHS Parent/Guardians,
By now, many of you are probably aware that on Monday, April 8, 2024, New Jersey will experience a partial solar eclipse. It is predicted to begin at 2:09 PM and conclude at 4:35 PM. Maximum darkness is said to occur at 3:24 PM. The timing coincides with after school dismissal and outdoor extracurricular programs (e.g. athletics). WTPS schools will not be altering school schedules on April 8. Our athletic practices and games for the day will be held as planned and all athletes and spectators will be reminded that at no time will it be safe to look at the sun without the protection of authentic and properly certified eclipse viewing glasses.
A solar eclipse is a rare and exciting event; however, there are eye safety concerns surrounding a solar eclipse. While WTPS will be educating the students on eclipse safety β especially the danger of looking at the sun during the aforementioned timeframe β it is imperative that parents/guardians also speak with their children about solar eclipse safety. NASA provides safety information and resources on their website, click here to access the NASA resources. For those that wish to use solar eclipse viewing glasses, the American Astronomical Society (AAS) stresses the importance of using glasses that meet the ISO 123-2 International Standard. The AAS has vetted vendors that are confirmed to meet this international standard; click here to see the list of AAS-vetted vendors. Please stress to your children and students that at no time will it be safe to look at the sun without the protection of authentic and properly certified eclipse viewing glasses.
Sincerely,
Kevin Davis

Financial Aid- FAFSA
The U.S. Department of Education has started a βsoft launchβ of the 2024-2025 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The new FAFSA form is available on their website: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
During the βsoft launch,β the 24-25 FAFSA will be available for students and contributors to complete for short periods of time each day. There will be periods of time where the form is not available. Please continue to check back with the website if that is the case.
ALL STUDENTS who plan on attending any type of post secondary education (4 year, 2 year, vocational school) should complete and submit a FAFSA. Even if your family does not qualify for federal or state aid, individual colleges CANNOT award aid (merit, needed based, etc) without a FAFSA being completed.

Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD)
A representative from the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD) will visit WHS on Wednesday, January 31st at 9:00 am to share information with sophomores about shared time programs. The online application for MCVSD is now open and can be completed. For more information on programs and to apply: MCVSD Admissions Information & Application
MCVSD offers numerous shared time programs for juniors and seniors at Wall High School. Shared-time programs provide an opportunity for students to enroll in a career and technical education course while attending their home high school. The shared-time classes are a half-day in length and the student continues with their regular course of study at their home high school the other half of the day. Most programs consist of two years of study in which the student learns skills that will qualify them for entry-level jobs or prepare them for further education in their chosen career and technical education field.
