PACK Guardians,

We had a great week and are looking forward to a the upcoming four day week. Hopefully you will have Friday off and can enjoy some time with your children as well! Here are a few reminders:

Track meet - Monday's track meet is dependent on weather. They are supposed to determine the course of action first thing Monday morning and we will communicate. It may be rescheduled for Tuesday in Whitehouse.

Solar Eclipse - Yes, we are planning for the solar eclipse! We WILL have school on that day and due to a recent generous donation, we will have enough glasses for each student! We will prep all students ahead of time regarding safety procedures, but we do want them to have this experience. Please let us know if you have any concerns!

Failure Meetings - For the third 9 weeks, we have met with all students that failed one or more class. We had them sign an acknowledgement that they attended the assembly where we informed them that summer school and retention is an option if they don't get their grades up. Please help us by making sure you have a parent portal account and are monitoring your child's grades. You can also directly e-mail the teachers from the portal and set daily alerts for attendance/grades.

Headphones - Our Husky student should have WIRED headphones and not ear buds. Please help us by making sure your students have wired headphones so we can monitor their usage.

Yearbooks! - Your student should have already had a yearbook order form come through, BUT we know middle schoolers lose things. You can order ONLINE but must use the unique Hubbard ID code of 1210324.

8th grade trip

Ms. Veatch and Orlowski needed a spring break after their spring break to refresh after taking our 8th graders on a trip to DC/NYC. They all made it back in one piece and had a wonderful time!

AVID - Kendra Scott giveback

On Good Friday, March 29th, from 1:00-3:00 Mrs. Veatch/AVID will be at Kendra Scott at the Cumberland Shopping Center trying to raise money for AVID. Any mention of Hubbard AVID during the two-hour window will earn us 20% from each sale. We need your help! The money raised will help provide funding for college field trips, our spring family night, and annual AVID 8th grade breakfast.
