This week we celebrated Read Across America week with the big idea that, through reading, we can learn all about other parts of the world. A very special thank you goes to our Reading Specialists, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Chase, for planning such a wonderful week!

We kicked off the week with a very special song that staff members practiced and performed for students during Monday Morning Meeting. Please click here to view the video. Each grade level also spent the week learning about a different continent through an interactive map full of exciting links to read-alouds and a generous gift of books to each class. Students continued their learning throughout the week in physical education with Mr. Jackson, in music with Mrs. Morris, during digital learning with Mrs. Barra, and by creating art projects with Ms. Chevalier. The beautiful artwork is hung up around our world mural and is a fantastic demonstration of techniques that are used in other countries. Be sure to ask your student what they learned about another country this week!

• Wednesday 3/20: Elementary town-wide volleyball tournament, (MHS - 6PM)
• Friday 3/29: No School, Good Friday

Lunch will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.
