Senior Calendar Important Dates
Tuesday, April 23 - Friday, May 3 - Project Graduation tickets are on sale during lunches and before school for $25 each. Tickets are free if students completed the GO Scholarship and a FAFSA form.
Wednesday, May 8 - Last regular school day for Seniors
Thursday, May 9 - Senior Exams for hours 5 & 6 (seniors only have to attend school on this day for hours 5 & 6)
Thursday, May 9 - Senior Signing Day! You won't want to miss out on the student-athletes who will be signing to play collegiate athletics. The start time is 7:00 pm.
Friday, May 10 - Senior Exams for hours 3 & 4 (seniors only have to attend school on this day for hours 3 & 4)
Monday, May 13 - Senior Exams for hours 1 & 2 (seniors only have to attend school on this day for hours 1 & 2)

- 8:00 am Senior Breakfast (provided) in the FHS Cafeteria (optional)

Time to return textbooks, library books, district issued chrome books as well as make good on any Athletic pay to participate, yearbook late fees, or cafeteria obligations prior to the conclusion of the school year.
Seniors: All obligations should be taken care of BEFORE cap & gown distribution on May 21st.
Second Semester Senior Attendance Appeals
Second Semester Attendance Appeals: Seniors
Seniors who have 10+ absences (or the equivalent of ten or more absences) for the second semester will receive an Attendance Appeal during SRT on 4/25.
Seniors will have until Thursday, May 2nd, to complete and turn his/her Attendance Appeal to the basket in the Main Office. If you missed the deadline, please contact Mrs. Lemke.
Awards & Recognition
Local Scholarship Night (by invitation only) - May 14th
The Local Scholarship Night for Seniors (by invitation only) will be held on Tuesday, May 14th in the FHS Auditorium from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.
Applications for local scholarships were due back in March, and the donors are meeting during the month of April and first week of May to select their winners from the pool of applicants.
Notifications will be sent out once donors have made their selections.
Tri County Times
The TriCounty Times wants to honor the Class of 2024 and is asking all seniors to email a senior photo to them. They will publish it in an upcoming edition.
Please submit photos to Tri-County Times at comp@tctimes.com. Please include the graduate's name and school for publication. You can start submitting ASAP, and they will continue to publish new photos throughout the graduation season.

High school students and families interested in learning more about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship are encouraged to register for an informational webinar provided by MI Student Aid.

Grades, Transcripts, & AP/IB Test Scores
College Board for AP Scores
Please take a moment to create a College Board account (if you haven't already done so). This resource allows students and families the ability to access PSAT, SAT, and AP scores online, as well as send scores to colleges and universities.
Additionally, students that wish to sign up for the SAT and CLEP exams can register using this resource. Please be sure to keep your login information available for every year in high school!
To create an account please follow these steps:
1. Be sure to have your email address, expected graduation date, and high school(s) name ready.
2. Go to www.collegeboard.org.
3. Click Sign Up.
4. Select I am a Student.
5. Create a username and password (Again keep his information in a safe place to reference).
Parchment for Transcripts
Parchment
Parents and students can easily access transcripts by utilizing Parchment. This online resources allows families/students to request, send, and, store transcripts. It also includes powerful tools to research colleges and admissions. We advise NOT to use school email addresses during the registration process, as there may be a need to access this resource beyond high school years.
To access Parchment, please follow these steps:
1. Login/ Register - Sign in at www.parchment.com and click Sign Up to log in or register.
2. Add School - Click Get Started, and add high school(s).
3. Select Destinations- Select destinations such as colleges, NCAA, Common Application, or yourself, and review your selection.
4. Provide Consent- Complete waiver form and e-sign the transcript authorization form.
5. Payment - Provide debit/credit card payment if fees are required.
6. Track Order - Order Status will be emailed and updated in Parchment account.

If the course coordinator allows, students can access results via the IB’s candidate results website on (NEED DATE)
To view the time your results are released, a candidate can do the following:
- Refer to the Individual PIN report provided by the school’s IB Diploma Programme coordinator
- Select the Results tab on the candidate results website

Graduation Information
Reminders for Graduation Practice & Ceremony
I am looking forward to our practices and graduation ceremony this week. Below is a list of things that you will need to be aware of for both Tuesday and Thursday. Based on the current weather outlook, we will be holding our graduation ceremony at the football stadium!
Tuesday, May 21: (Reminder - Graduation practice is required in order to participate in graduation on Thursday. Only a few exceptions are allowed, such as participating in another event, and representing FHS at the same time. For example, participating in a League tournament.)
- Senior Breakfast @ 8:00 am in the cafeteria, sign yearbook inserts (being handed out at the breakfast).
- Cap/Gown distribution starting no later than 8:30 am
- Just so you know - There are A LOT of obligations that have not been taken care of; in order to receive your cap and gown, you will have to return all items or pay for them in order to receive your cap and gown.
- Class photo and class meeting in the gym at 9:00 am ( you will need your cap and tassel, but not your gown.)
- Graduation practice to follow the class meeting at the Football Stadium.
- The length of time to get through graduation practice is entirely dependent on how well we do as a collective group with our practice. Expect us to have 4 or 5 run-throughs of the graduation ceremony. My goal is to be done by 12 pm.
- There is no specific dress code for Tuesday (School appropriate attire), just be comfortable because we will be outside for a few hours and it may be cooler temps. Wear comfortable shoes.
Wednesday, May 22 - Morning:
- 7:30 am practice on the football field in cap and gown (This is a dress rehearsal).
- 8:45 am Senior Walk
- 9:00 am Senior Honors Assembly
- 11:00 am Projected end time of assembly
- OPTIONAL: Elementary school clap outs if you attended an FHS elementary school. These will begin at 3:05 pm - 4:00 pm
Thursday, May 23 - Evening:
- 5:30 pm Stadium (or Gym) opens for spectator seating. (1 hour prior to graduation) Handicap seating is available in the bleacher in the upper (stadium only) and lower portions. All seating is first come, first serve. IF additional wheelchair accessible seating is needed there will be overflow on the track, against the fence, for the chair only. We cannot accommodate companion seating on the track.
- 6:00 pm Graduates report to the main gym for the lineup
- 6:30 pm Graduation Ceremony begins and is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
- Livestream will be available, and a link will be sent out on Thursday.
Dress Code:
- Tuesday: no specific requirements other than school-appropriate clothing
- Thursday Morning: Wear your cap and gown and dress for the weather.
- Thursday Evening:
Girls: dress shoes with a dress, skirt, or dress slacks look best.
Boys: dress shoes with dark trousers, a collared shirt (required), and a tie looks best.
Blue jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, flip-flops, or slides are NOT appropriate.
- Caps are NOT to be decorated
- No super thin heels, remember you will be walking on the turf
Graduation Ceremony Information
- When: May 23, 2024
- Time: 6:30 pm
- Where: The Administration has not yet determined the location for graduation. Many factors go into this, including trying to plan for weather-related issues. As soon as a decision is made, we will let everyone know.
- If graduation is outside: Seating will be first come, first serve in the bleachers, with graduates on the field.
- If graduation is inside: Seating will be first come, first serve in the bleachers, with graduates seated on the gym floor. Overflow seating will be in the climate-controlled Auditorium with the ceremony simulcast into the Auditorium.

Google Takeout Information for Graduating Seniors - IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR
@fentonschools.org GOOGLE ACCOUNT
This is to provide all of you with directions on how to download any and all of your work from your Google Workspace (@fentonschools.org) account. The process is very easy, and takes only a few minutes to get going. This is an optional process for all of you. With that in mind, please be aware that your @fentonschools account will be deleted on August 1, 2024.
Your data will not be saved or archived by Fenton Area Public Schools. If you want data in your Google account for post-secondary, it is up to you to go through the steps below.

Post Graduation
To be in compliance with the requirements of Michigan Compiled Law 380.1293, school districts must provide a post-graduation opportunities informational packet.
Information included in bold on Pathfinder page (see link below) is intended to fulfill the requirements of the law.
These updates are provided through a partnership between the Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and other statewide stakeholders.
Additional Summer School Information
Students who pay in full in the Early Enrollment Window (May 13-June 14) will have access to their coursework within 2 business days and can begin working early. Materials will not get graded until the actual start of summer school term 6/18.
FHS Online Summer School classes will be loaded and students sent his/her user name and password to their school gmail account. Your student will receive an email that looks like this:

E-Funds for Summer School
After a successful pilot by Athletics, the E-funds (electronic payments), program is being expanded to make paying for other school related items much easier. Parents should begin to set up an account.
Parents should set up an E-funds account by following these steps:
1. Locate your child's student ID number (six-digit number on report cards & transcripts) and
go to the E-funds website.
