ONE SCHOOL ONE BOOK
It has been revealed! Our One School, One Book novel is Malcolm At Midnight by W.H. Beck.
Last week during Media classes, all students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade were introduced to the book and listened to Chapter 1. On Monday, April 8th, we will celebrate our "kick off" with an all school assembly followed by the students receiving their copies of the book. Please remember each family will receive one copy of our selected title. We will send that copy home with the oldest student in your family. Also on Monday, April 8th, classroom teachers will read Chapter 2 to all students with a special treat from our main character, Malcolm the Rat! A specials thanks to the Webster PTO for helping Malcolm provide these treats!
What's next? Once your family has the book at home you may start reading! Our suggestion is to snuggle in as a family and read the book together but there are also many other ways you can read this book. Check out Webster School's website by clicking on the button for "One School, One Book". This will lead you to a set of recorded chapters read by some of our Webster teachers and students! Watch this website for weekly updates! Don't forget to submit your Malcolm's Memories Trivia sheet to win prizes! You can find the link to Malcolm's Memories Trivia on the Webster website as well!
Your Goal? Keep reading your chapters by following along on Malcolm's Reading Map!
This map will be sent home with your copy of the book on April 8th!
Enjoy reading a chapter book as a family!
