Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
It was a pleasure to welcome back all of our BHS students on Tuesday as we returned from a well-earned spring break! Tuesday was a little quiet but by Wednesday morning, students were ready to jump back into school and refocus on the remainder of our 2023-2024 school year.
This edition of The BHS Express contains a lot of information you will want to preview. Make sure you refer to the “please take note” section to order yearbooks for the 2023-2024 school year, to order t-shirts for your senior, to order prom tickets if your student is permitted, and to reference the testing schedule throughout the month of April.
April and May will fly by, so please help your student stay organized with all of the testing and end-of-the-year activities.
It looks like we will be rewarded with a beautiful weekend after tolerating this rainy weather! Please find some time to enjoy it!
In service to our Bulldogs.

2024-25 FAFSA Update:
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2024-25 academic year has undergone many changes, been updated for 2024, and is currently having a "soft launch". The website is up and running, but will be temporarily shut down occasionally for maintenance and updates. Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are at least eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources as they are received.
- Here is the link to a short video that explains what the FAFSA is: What is FAFSA?
- We have also included the link to a slightly lengthier video that explains the entire FAFSA application process and answers many of your questions: The 2024-2025 Financial Aid Process
- The student, as well as the parents/guardians must have their own FSA ID to begin the FAFSA application process. Here is the link to create your FSA ID: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
- Lastly, here is the link to begin your FAFSA application: StudentAid.Gov
