• The Hebron Band Garage Sale is THIS WEEK on SATURDAY April 13th, and we need twice as many ADULT volunteers as we have signed up. Please signup to help, we need you!

• Hebron is hosting the UIL Band Contest on our campus April 24th and 25th. We will need daytime volunteers to help facilitate the competition. We will also need volunteers to sign-up to help with the meals for the directors, officials, and student helpers. There are two separate sign-ups: “UIL Hosting, Contest Helpers” AND “UIL Hosting, Directors & Officials Meals”. Please sign-up for as many shifts as you can, it’s a really fun event to be a part of!

• The Guard Fundraising Gala is on April 26th. We need help prepping before the gala and we need lots of help on the day of the gala. See the sign-up for all the details!

• The Hebron Band Golf Tournament is on May 31st. The sign-up is now live for day of volunteers, you are not going to want to miss out serving at this super fun event!! You even get a free t-shirt if you volunteer! We are hard at work and hoping to make this our biggest fundraiser of the spring, so please come help us make it a success!

• PLEASE PLAN TO DROP OFF ANY DONATIONS BETWEEN 6 and 7 am AT THE GARAGE SALE SITE.
• We can still do large furniture pick ups on Saturday morning. Please contact Glenn Kimball at garagesale@hebronband.org to schedule a pick up. Please let us know if you have a truck and can help with pick ups!
• We also need any old hangers and plastic grocery bags.

We would love to take it off your hands (and out of your closets) and show it off again! Spirit wear is announcing the opening of Vintage Spirit Store at the Garage Sale on April 13th. Please consider donating any and all gently used spirit wear in order to stock our store!

The Hebron Color Guard invites you to perform in their 1st annual Guard Gala Dinner & Showcase. We are looking for soloists, ensembles, and dancers to entertain our audience during dinner on April 26. Your voluntary performance looks great on leadership and college applications. Interested? This unforgettable evening will include dinner from Carrabba’s Italian Grill and desserts from local vendors, accompanied by solo and ensemble performances from Hebron fine arts musicians, color guard, and dance soloists and ensembles.

Following dinner, we will treat you to a unique showcase with performances by both Winter Guard teams, the Middle School Color Guard Club, and some other very special guest performers!

Tickets for this exciting inaugural event are $25 for guests and $15 for students. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $40 and include preferred seating for dinner and the showcase.

The Hebron Band Golf Tournament is coming up on May 31st. This is our biggest fundraiser of the spring with the potential to bring in more money than mattresses, butter braids and mulch combined! However, it will not be successful without your help.

Please reach out and invite golfers to sign-up with their friends. This is VERY important for the day to be successful!

We are asking that every student find one donation for the silent auction from a community business. Ask a business that you frequently support. See attached letters and information that you can give businesses when asking for donations/sponsorships.

"WHY ARE WE DOING SO MUCH FUNDRAISING? I AM TIRED OF SELLING THINGS AND WORKING FUNDRAISING EVENTS!!!"

Did you know that 35% of our operating budget comes from fundraising? That is $350,000!! We raise money through sponsorships, spirit nights, fundraising events like the Golf Tournament and Garage Sale, and through sales (poinsettias, mattresses, butter braids, and cookie dough, etc.). These fundraising activities help to offset operating costs of our elite band program. If we remove fundraising income, band fees would increase by $1,000 per student.

We have made very good progress with fundraising this year. Our spring goal is $100,000 because we need to meet our operating budget AND start saving money for much needed trailer updates and repairs. Getting our equipment and props to our contests is a MUST!!!

We still have 160 students and families who have unpaid balances in their accounts! Please review your balances and contact Sheryl Carrol if you have questions. Your attention to payment commitments, helps to keep our band fees low! Thanks to all who have responded. The hardworking treasury team is grateful!
