Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you and your children had a restful and enjoyable spring break. As we return to school, I want to provide you with important information regarding the upcoming Georgia Milestones Assessment System, which is scheduled to take place in approximately two weeks (grades 3-5).
The Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) is a crucial evaluation that helps us gauge the academic progress of our students and identify areas where they may need additional support. It is an opportunity for our students to showcase their knowledge and skills in various subjects, and your support in preparing them for these assessments is invaluable.
Here are a few ways you can assist your child in preparing for the Georgia Milestones Assessment System:
1. Encourage a Positive Attitude: Remind your child that the assessments are a chance to demonstrate their learning and abilities. Encourage them to approach the tests with confidence and a positive mindset.
2. Establish a Routine: Help your child establish a consistent study routine that includes review of key concepts and practice with sample questions. Make sure they get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast on test days.
3. Provide Support: Be available to answer any questions your child may have about the assessments or any topics they are studying. Offer words of encouragement and praise their hard work and effort.
4. Communicate with Teachers: Stay in touch with your child's teachers to understand how you can best support your child in their preparation for the assessments. Ask about resources or strategies that can help your child succeed.
If you have any concerns or questions about the Georgia Milestones Assessment System, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education. Together, we can help them achieve success in the Georgia Milestones Assessment System and beyond.
Warm regards,
Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.
Principal
