A Message from the Principal
I hope everyone is safely able to view the total eclipse today. The time is quickly approaching. Students will have three days to complete all eLearning assignments found on Canvas.
This week, we will have a food drive for the Goodwin Center. Students can bring in canned goods or non-perishable foods Tuesday through Friday. The class who donates the most will win a popsicle party?
ILEARN testing will begin the week of April 22nd. This is a summative assessment that students in grades three through six will take. The test measures proficiency with grade-level work and growth from one year to the next. We will test mostly in the mornings, so please send students to school on time daily and schedule any appointments in the afternoon.
Clubs and Extended Day resume this week. Club participants remain the same. Extended Day has switched to IREAD3 preparation and intervention. Please make sure your students have turned in their permission slips if they received them. Only students who will take the test again in the summer received permission slips.
We'll see everyone tomorrow!
Decatur Proud,
Mrs. Pearson, Principal

Decatur Township Culture Guide
E= Events: We cannot control things that happen
R= Response: We can control our response to the event
O=Outcome: Having a proper response will get the desired outcome.
This concept is powerful for all of us. Daily, many things happen that are out of our control. We can lash out or we can pause, think, and then respond. Pausing for reflection allows us to get the outcome that we need and want.
