Mini Miners Preschool Post

Hello families,

Thank you to all of you for turning in your child's enrollment packet so quickly!

For those children who will be in "the year before kindergarten", our 4 year old children, I am waiting for the state to complete their part of the UPK enrollment process before I send out enrollment confirmation letters. I will keep you all updated as I am updated by the state.

All of our 3 year old children do not need to create a UPK account therefore, I will be sending you your child's enrollment confirmation letter in April.

Although Michelle and I have spoken to you about your child's enrollment, the enrollment confirmation letter is the written confirmation of placement for next school year in our program. I will make sure you all have one before the end of the school year. Again, for some of you I'm waiting on the state's timeline.

This month our teaching theme is "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle"! Look for the cool stuff our classrooms will be doing.

Our local trash man is coming to visit us! They will be sharing about the importance of recycling and showing our students one of their trucks!

* April 23 & 24

Our students were invited to learn about the new baby chicks that the agriculture class just hatched. The high school students shared the hatching process, read a book, colored with our students and danced to "The Chicken Dance" song. Mr. Sellers, the middle and high school Principal joined us as well.

A special thank you to Mrs. Burdette, the agriculture class teacher.
