#PRONGHORNSTRONG
Congratulations to this group of students and Mrs. Smallwood who received recognition for being a great example of what is means to be a PVE Pronghorn. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!

HAWKS HOMERUN READING
The Boise Hawks Reading Program is a four-week program divided into four goals, each goal lasting one week. Each week represents a base on the baseball diamond. After each goal is completed, the student will earn a base. When all four goals are met, and the four weeks have passed, the student has hit a HOME RUN, and they will receive a FREE HAWKS TICKET.
Over the next few week, you have a chance to also earn a Hawks baseball ticket. You may work on Roaring Readers and Hawks at the same time. Reading may be done alone, as a family, or a parent reading to a child. In fact, the next four weeks will be filled with the same challenge: 2.5 hours of reading each week.
Hawks Reading Packets should be delivered soon, but you can already get a jumpstart.
- Week One: March 11-15
- Week Two: Spring Break March 18-22
- Week Three: March 25-29
- Week Four: (HOME RUN WEEK) April 4-8
Logs will be due back to teachers on April 13. Happy reading, and here is to hitting your home run!

Attention all of you young artists out there! The PTA is holding our annual Yearbook Cover Contest and submissions are due at the front office before March 29th. Here are the guidelines to keep in mind:
- Art must be submitted on an 8.5 x 11 white sheet of paper.
- Vertical orientation
- Must include "Pleasant View Elementary" and "2023-2024" clearly
- Student's full name and teacher written on the back of the paper, lightly in pencil (not front)
- We recommend using lots of color!

Need To Make A Change In How Your Child Gets Home? Checking Out a Student?
Please get in touch with the office before 3:00 for any last-minute changes at the end of the day, so we have plenty of time to communicate with staff members. (If preplanned, please email both the teacher and office.)
If you are coming in at the end of the day to check out a student, please note we will not call students down after 3:45 pm. They are already cleaning up and transitioning for release at the end of the day.
Thank you for being so understanding!
Please take a moment to look at your child's lunch balance. If you owe monies, please remit payment to help take care of the over $600 in debt owed at PVE. We appreciate you keeping your account current.
