Fisher Family Update
April 12, 2024

Dear Fisher Families
As you all know, we had a solar eclipse this past Monday. It was certainly a very exciting day at Fisher! I’d like to thank Superintendent Gough and Central Office for procuring eclipse glasses for all our students. They were very happy to receive them and looked forward to seeing their first eclipse!
On this day, some of our students took the day and many were dismissed to enjoy this rare event. Close to 90 students were dismissed on Monday and our secretaries, as always, made sure all the visitors and students that were coming and going were welcomed and accounted for.
I want to take this opportunity to express our school’s deep appreciation for the invaluable role Ms. Patti Clark-Conway and Ms. Tara Murphy play in keeping our school running smoothly and ensuring the safety and well-being of all our students.
Ms. Conway and Ms. Murphy work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every aspect of our school day runs smoothly. From answering phones and managing morning announcements to coordinating volunteers, leading dismissal procedures, organizing substitute coverage, ordering supplies and assisting our teachers and principal, the Fisher secretaries get it done!
Their welcoming smiles greet visitors at the front door, their quick hands provide band-aids and care for our students, and their willingness to help is on display as they assist families with school or district information. Most importantly, our school secretaries ensure that our school is a wonderfully welcoming place for all who learn, work, or visit Fisher School.
Please join me in extending our heartfelt thanks to our amazing school secretaries for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our school community.
Please read through this edition of the Fisher Family Update for upcoming events and meetings.
Have a great vacation week!
Brian

2024-2025 Class Placement
Placement is a school responsibility which we take very seriously. Parents frequently acknowledge how well our teachers know their children. In addition to the classroom teacher’s knowledge, there may be information that you feel would be helpful for us to know. Please note that written input is optional and you do not need to fill out the form in order to have your child’s needs considered. If you choose to send us parent input, we ask that you use the Parent Placement Information Form and complete it no later than Friday, May 3rd. We view placement as an extremely important task, and afford it significant time and reflection.
