Returning Student Update
The mandatory BCSD returning student update will be available for parents to complete in your parent portal account on May 1. This is where you will upload your yearly required two proofs of residency as well as sign the chromebook agreement. Every student returning to BCSD is required to have this completed. By doing so early, this will ensure your student will be issued their device without any delays.
BOGO Scholastic Book Fair
The BOGO Scholastic Book Fair starts Thursday at 7:30 am. The fair will be open Thursday and Friday this week as well as all of next week. Regular hours are from 7:30-3:30; however, the fair will remain open on Wednesday the 24th and Thursday the 25th until 6:30 pm so families can shop before attending our schoolwide production of Footloose. The fair will close at 1:00 on the final day, Friday, April 26th.
Students are welcome to shop before school, throughout the school day, and/or after school. Families may shop with students after school. Payment may be made in the form of cash, checks (made out to MNM), debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Scholastic eWallet. Additional book fair information may be located on our school's book fair homepage: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/mmsoa
Thank you for supporting student literacy and the MMSOA library!
Beta Club Service Opportunity
The Beta Club has been fortunate to work with The Low Country Orphan Relief (LOR) for the past few years. LOR meets the needs of children all over South Carolina. They distribute resources donated to them among children of need. The Beta Club is currently taking donations now. As you begin to undergo some spring cleaning, please consider bringing in new/like new items. Students can bring items to room 207!
If your student is in Beta Club, they will receive 2 service hours for every 5 items they bring in!
Please see the fliers below for more information. This donation opportunity will last until 4/19/24.

7th Grade Supply Requests
Hello 7th grade parents!
We are down to our last few rolls of paper towels and tissues! We would be very grateful if students could bring some of these into their homeroom teachers to add to our supplies. It is allergy season so we are running through tissues fairly quickly, as well as paper towels!
In addition to this,
7th grade ELA classes will begin a totem pole project once the class novel, "Touching Spirit Bear", is completed. Students will be tasked with creating a totem pole and connecting it to characters in the book and themselves. We would love donations of empty/unrolled toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls!
Thank you,
7th Grade Team
