I hope this letter finds you well and thriving. As we are a few months from wrapping up our outstanding school year, our commitment to fostering a nurturing, safe, and high-quality learning environment for our students remains paramount. It's in this spirit that I reach out to discuss an opportunity that directly impacts our school's journey towards excellence—the State Climate Survey.
The State Climate Survey is an annual initiative designed to gather critical insights into the perceptions and experiences of our students, parents, and staff. It focuses on various aspects of our school environment, including safety, learning conditions, and interpersonal relationships. The insights gleaned from this survey are invaluable, as they inform our strategic planning, help us tailor our initiatives to better meet the needs of our community, and enable us to celebrate our strengths.
Why is your participation crucial? The survey results are not only a reflection of our current climate but also play a pivotal role in shaping our school's narrative. These results are shared publicly on our annual School Report Card, offering a transparent view of our environment to prospective families, educators, and the wider community. By completing the survey, you have a unique opportunity to "carry the banner" for our school, showcasing the vibrant, supportive, and dynamic community we are all proud to be a part of.
Here's how you can contribute:
- Complete the Survey: Log into your parent portal (linked here) and navigate to the forms tab. It is brief and your responses are confidential. Additional instructions can be found here. If you have issues accessing your parent portal account, please contact Ms. Mabey.
Encourage Participation: Talk to fellow parents and encourage them to participate. A higher response rate ensures a more accurate representation of our school climate.
Voice Your Experience: This is your platform to share your experiences and perceptions. Every voice matters and contributes to our collective story.
Talk with your Student: Students in 3rd through 12th grade are required to take the State Climate Survey. They'll be administered it next week during school.
If you’re like me, when I receive a survey and I’m frustrated about something, I make it a priority to share my opinions via the survey; however, when things are going well, I will “save it for later” and most often, forget to go back and complete it. I know many of you are pleased, which is evident by the projected student retention rate of 97%. However, we want to hear from you too. I urge you to consider the lasting impact your input can have on our school's path forward. Your perspective is invaluable to us, and together, we can highlight the aspects that make our school exceptional, as well as identify areas for growth and improvement.
In closing, I wish to express my deepest gratitude for your ongoing support and engagement with our school community. Together, we are not just a school; we are a family . . . a Pride . . . . committed to each other's success and well-being.
