Congratulations to Ms. Amber Backus and the Waltham Concert Band who knocked everyone's socks off with their talent over the weekend at the 60th annual Band-o-Rama! For the first time in our school's history, Waltham School hosted this event. Our band program has so much to be proud of, and we are excited to now be in the rotation of host schools for this local band festival.

Each year in the spring, Waltham School selects 2 certified staff members and 1 support staff member that have gone above and beyond in their current roles. Retirees are also recognized at this annual celebration.

The following staff members will be recognized at a banquet hosted by our local Regional Office of Education #35 on May 2th.

Our annual Talent Show will be on Wednesday, May 15th, from 9-11 a.m.! We are looking forward to showcasing the talented students here at Waltham School!

Thursday, May 9th, our kindergarten students will celebrate their mothers with a special celebration beginning at 2:15 p.m. Mrs. Kummer & Ms. Voss will be sending home additional information to the class. Guests will need to provide a photo ID to enter the school.

Friday, May 24th will be our Kindergarten Pack-Up Picnic at 1:30 p.m. Guests will need to provide a photo ID to enter the school.

Friday, May 24th will be our first-ever Preschool Celebration! The celebration for morning students will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the afternoon students will begin at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Alvarado will be sending out more information with students as the date gets closer.

Guests are welcome to attend the performances; photo IDs will be required to enter.

Students in grades 5th-8th (and 4th grade beginning band) will be recognized for their participation in extracurricular activities and academic accomplishments on Tuesday, May 21st at 1:15 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend; photo IDs will be required to enter.

Our annual 8th grade graduation ceremony will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd, in the school gymnasium. Guests are welcome to attend. More information will be provided closer to the event.

We will once again be having our Field Day for students in grades K-7!

This year, Field Day will take place on Thursday, May 30th. There will be a 1:45 p.m. dismissal for all students. More information will be coming out regarding this fun day as it gets closer!

• The final day of the 2023-2024 school year for students in grades K-7 will be Friday, May 31st. There will be a 1:45 p.m. dismissal.
• Wednesday, May 22nd, is the final day for 8th grade students.
• Friday, May 24th, is the final day for preschool students. They will be dismissed after their celebration.
