Caregivers,
This month’s tool is to prepare for next school year. I know it feels early, but things quickly wrap up at the end of a school year, and you will be glad you did this now when August comes.
A while ago, I started giving an at-a-glance sheet to my children’s teachers. At the beginning of the school year, teachers and staff are getting to know their students and this sheet moves that process along quickly, especially for our special education students.
The tool is best when it is one page, brief and to-the-point, and includes the big information about your child. You can write it out or type it, whatever works best for you. Let me know if I can help you create an at-a-glance sheet for your child.
At-a-Glance Sheet Includes:
Introduction
Picture
Strengths and interests
Challenges
What helps the student be a successful learner
Below is a sample to get you started.
Sincerely,
Carol Korte
