Greetings, Carroll Tiger Family!

As we move into March, our days will get longer, and our calendar will be filled with events that our Tigers will be participating in. Spring is a special time of year for renewal and excitement, and it leads into the next great chapter of our school’s story for 2024. I invite all parents and families to review the calendar of events below carefully. Over the next two weeks, on any given day, you'll have the opportunity to support Tigers as they do amazing things for our school. Students respond so well when they see you cheering them on. I'm so proud of their many talents and how well they represent Carroll High School. This is only possible with the amazing support of our community - THANK YOU! Points of Emphasis and Reminders

Week 2 of Mock STAAR Testing - Tuesday and Wednesday

Just a reminder that we have two days of Mock STAAR testing this week. Biology students will be taking their mock test on Tuesday, March 5th, and US History students will take their mock test on Wednesday, March 6th. Mock testing is designed to simulate the actual test and will provide valuable data to guide instruction heading into actual STAAR testing. Your support at home is crucial, so please encourage your children to have a positive attitude towards the test, ensure they get adequate rest, follow a balanced diet, and have a stress-free morning leading up to the testing. National Athletic Training Month

Did you know that March is National Athletic Training Month? Every year in March, we celebrate and recognize the expertise and efforts of athletic trainers worldwide. This week is dedicated to all those who play a vital role in ensuring health and care for our athletes. We appreciate our trainers, CJ Delagarza and Ashley Knighton, and our crew of student trainers who give their time, effort, and dedication to ensure that we are the absolute best on the field of competition. It's a team effort, and nothing can be won without our trainers. This year's theme - FROM HEAD TO TOE, we appreciate you!

Dropoff and Pickup Not Allowed on Saratoga

As a campus, trust is at the heart of everything we do. We must ensure that everyone follows our procedures and acts responsibly. We want to address one particular issue that affects everyone's safety. Vehicles parking on Saratoga for (drop off and pick up) is not only against the law but also causes a hazardous situation for both drivers and students. The entryway from Saratoga to our horseshoe is designed to help traffic flow and is not a parking area. Instead, we encourage drivers to enter the lot, keeping traffic flow on Saratoga, and to wait in the safety of our parking lot or horseshoe. Our staff will be on hand to ensure safety is maintained this week. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Texas Public Schools Week - Let's Celebrate!

Let’s round up and get into the spirit of Texas Public Schools Week. At Carroll High School, we're celebrating all week long with themed dress-up days that honor both Texas and our Public Schools. On Monday, March 4th, dress up as your favorite teacher to show your appreciation for their hard work. On Tuesday, March 5th, show off your Texas spirit by wearing your favorite Texas-themed Store attire. Wednesday, March 6th is the day to showcase your roots by dressing up in your favorite western wear. And on Thursday, March 7th, wear your favorite beach or tourist attire to kick off Spring break. As a reminder, there will be no school for students on Friday, March 8th. Let's show our Texas pride and celebrate our wonderful public schools!

Senior Family Night is Set - Tuesday, March 19 at 6 PM

Senior Family Night is set! All Seniors and families are invited to join us on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 6 PM in the Arena. This event is specifically designed to help seniors and their families prepare for the upcoming graduation and to reduce stress levels by providing a roadmap to the big day. We will discuss a variety of topics including graduation requirements, chords and regalia information, FASFA, attendance, cap and gown information, senior activities, post-graduation information, and much more. Plus, we'll be offering door prizes and refreshments to make the event even more enjoyable. We can't wait to see all of our senior families at this event!

Safety Reminder - Closed Campus

Our campus is a closed campus during school hours from 8:50 am to 4:10 pm. This means the only entrance to the building is through the front vestibule during the school day. Students are not permitted to use any side entrances for entry or exit during this time range. Additionally, lunch deliveries are not allowed, and students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch. It's essential to follow these set procedures to ensure the safety of all students and account for our Tigers every minute of the day. Thank you for your cooperation.
