EJMS Jaguar Weekly April 8-12
Keeping our School Community in the Know
From Principal Pickerill's Pen
EJMS Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break and enjoyed the extra day for the Eclipse. Although we missed our students this week, I know that it was a much needed break for all of the students, teachers, and staff to build back energy so we can finish this year strong!
As the weather (hopefully) continues to get warmer we anticipate an increase in dress code violations. Please help us ensure that your child is within the dress code before they leave for school each morning. See through spandex shorts, crop tops, and other garments that reveal skin along the waistline seem to be the most common concerns. We can't use a jacket as the solution because these overlays do not always stay on throughout the entire school day. Thank you for your help!
Chromebook changes to loaners
During the remainder of the school year we are going to make a change to the process we use if students forget their Chromebook. Instead of getting a loaner device for a 'forgotten' Chromebook students will be required to write all information out during the school day. Unfortunately we do not have enough extra devices and need to keep loaner Chromebooks for those students whose assigned device is getting fixed after submitting a tech ticket.

Spotlight: The Lion King
What a great show! We hope that many of you got to come see it one day last week.
Thanks to all of the parents and families who helped with transporting kids to and from rehearsals, with snacks for cast and crew, with hair and makeup backstage, concessions and flowers during the shows and so much more! Special shoutouts
- to Nicole Shafer for an incredible set with handpainted alternating backdrops
- to Katie Bishop, Seth Mitchell and McKenzie Banta for an excellent directorial debut - we cannot wait for these three to team up again
- to our talented cast and crew who put on three incredible performances
What a beautiful moment with Mufasa, played by Jayna Privett, and young Simba, portrayed by Lee Williams.
Scar, played by Chloe Shafer, has some bad news to share with the lionesses.
