Clio Area Schools Parent Climate Survey
School Climate Survey
We want to hear about your experiences with your child’s education. It includes questions about your child’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your attitudes about the institutional environment and your personal involvement in school. Your responses will be very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment.
All your responses are completely anonymous. We have no way to connect you to your answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences.
As you respond to each item, think about your own personal experiences as a parent or caregiver at your child’s school. Please answer all items, or your answers won't count. This survey should take approximately 10 minutes. Take survey here.
Thank you for your time and participation!
Captain's Club
We embarked on our mission to help foster leadership opportunities for a group of CHS students. Students have been identified by their coaches/staff as possessing leadership characteristics. Mr. Doyle is meeting with these students monthly to assist them in the process of continuing the evolution of becoming leaders in all the facets of their lives. The group will explore ways to positively impact the Clio community and participate in initiatives to make this the place to be.
Flint Water Emergency Grant
We are in the process of updating our records to help support all families in our school community. In order to qualify for additional grant funding from the Michigan Department of Education, we need to be sure that our student data base accurately reflects families who have/had been impacted by the Flint Water Emergency. If your child has lived (including during pregnancy) or attended childcare/day-care/school in Flint or surrounding areas supplied by the lead-contaminated Flint water, anytime from April 2014 to September 2020. Please complete the form linked here (for each child), to help us update our student information.

Finish Strong!
As we transition from the cold grip of winter to the warming renewal of spring, it's clear that change is in the air. This change extends beyond the weather; it must include our mindset, our goals, and our commitment to excellence in the way we approach the demands of each day and the lessons we learn along the way.
At Clio High School, we are committed to building a winners' mentality, one that drives us to excel in everything we do. It's about more than just winning; it's about striving for greatness in every aspect of our lives. This mentality challenges us to set high standards for ourselves and to work tirelessly every day to achieve them.
Embracing change also means embracing struggle. Challenges and obstacles are a natural part of life, but it's how we respond to them that defines us. By setting high standards and working diligently to overcome difficulties, we not only grow as individuals but also learn to embrace life's challenges with courage and resilience. A path without roadblocks or challenges, is one that is easily forgotten and never treasured. Appreciation for any journey comes from the difficulty in the path that was traveled.
As we approach the end of the school year, I encourage all students to finish this semester strong. The final stretch may be challenging, but it's an opportunity to demonstrate the hard work and dedication that define our school community. Let's continue to support one another, push ourselves to new heights, and finish the school year with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Together, let's embrace change, set high standards, and work every day to overcome life's challenges. By doing so, we not only finish the school year strong but also prepare ourselves for the bright future that lies ahead. Go Clio! Join the Mustang Charge! #theplacetobe!
Warm regards,
Scott Williams, Clio High School Principal
