Principal's Desk
5th Graders received a visit from Esperero Canyon Middle School:
Mrs. Setliff, Principal, Ms. Griffith and Mr. Wilton, school counselors, visited Ventana Vista 5th graders to share information and answer questions about middle school. They did a great job of sharing all of the wonderful things about Esperero Canyon Middle School and they also eased 5th graders fears and answered questions.
March Trait of the Month
Each month we learn about a trait of the month. For the month of March, it is “Honesty”. We are looking for our honest students this month to have lunch with the principal along with our chosen Bobcats of the month. These students also earn a certificate, pin, pencil and a trip to the balcony.
Love of Reading Week
We have been celebrating the “Love of Reading” all week. Mrs. Hawkins has met with the classes to share kindness and have the students paint charms for the Ben’s Bells.
We had guest readers such as; Pima County Supervisor, Rex Scott.
Deputy Everhart, and I too was a guest reader in some classes. Today and tomorrow there will be a book exchange during lunch.
Principal's Lunch
The students that were chosen for the trait of the month and Bobcat of the month had lunch with me last Thursday.
We honored students for the trait of Kindness for the month of February and we recognized our Bobcats for being safe, kind and responsible.
Playground Structure
The day we all have been waiting for has finally arrived. The new play structure is complete, beautiful, and already used a lot today.
The students were so excited this morning as they arrived and saw that it was open and ready for use. As you can see they all were enjoying the new play structure.
Even Dr. Dauman had a chance to check it out!
