Community Update from Principal Griffin
Dear Erie High School families
Thank you for your support and engagement in another great week at Erie High School. This week, I had the opportunity to visit multiple science and art classes, and truly enjoyed the opportunity to see our students learning essential content and creating incredible artwork. We are fortunate to have some many outstanding learning opportunities for our students at Erie High School.
March - Women’s History Month
Today marks the beginning of Women's History Month, an opportunity to offer tribute to the remarkable contributions of women across generations, and acknowledge their pivotal roles in shaping our world. It's a time to celebrate their resilience, creativity, and unwavering determination in breaking barriers and making history in every field imaginable.
Senior Parent Graduation Meeting - Wednesday, March 27, 2024
As we begin the month of March, we are just under three months away from the biggest day of the school year - the graduation ceremony for the Erie High School Class of 2024. As we progress towards the end of the year, we will honor our seniors in many ways throughout the next three months. To that end, we are hosting an important meeting for parents/guardians of students in the Class of 2024 on the night of March 27th at 6:00 pm in the Erie High School Auditorium. This is an important opportunity for parents and families to learn more about Graduation, Senior Night of Reflection, Senior Graduation Walks, and other celebratory plans for the end of the year. I want to take this opportunity to encourage our seniors to maintain a healthy balance of academic focus amidst the excitement of their few remaining months of high school.
Good Luck to Erie High School Robotics this weekend at the State Championships!
Good luck to the Erie High School Robotics teams who will be competing at Kent Denver this weekend for the 2024 Vex Robotics Colorado State Championships. The three Erie High School teams will be competing for not only state championships, but also an opportunity to compete in the Vex Robotics World Championships in April 2024.
Spring Musical Next Week!
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see the Erie High School Theatre Department production of Catch Me If You Can on March 7, 8, and 9. This talented group of students has been working around the clock for months, and I wish our student actors, musicians, technical crew, dancers, and designers great success with this upcoming performance. You can buy tickets here.
I hope you and your family enjoy a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal

Dominique Sema
Dom is a senior who has been in the ETN program for many years, he always seems to rise to the occasion and takes on new tasks with professionalism. This year he directed the best basketball broadcast from a technical perspective in the history of our network. He comes to class enthusiastic and excited about the program and he is a genuine friend to his peers in the class.
Hannah Osmann
Hannah has been the editor-in-chief for the Tiger Times for two years now. She has grown so much as a leader and an editor. She helps hold her peers accountable in a way that makes them feel empowered. She is a tireless worker and she always shows up to class with a smile on her face.
Shyanne Rosine
Shyanne showed her true spirit of kindness by volunteering to work with a student new to not only Erie High School, but also to the United States. Shyanne has the patience to connect with a peer who has limited knowledge of English and is there to support her peers and be a friend.
Jamie Sammer
Everyone wants to work with Jamie! When asked to pick partners, Jamie’s name is always the number one pick. Jamie shows compassion, friendliness, and integrity and other students are drawn to his supportive leadership and his calming demeanor.

Celebrating Winter Service with NHS!
NHS has been shining brightly this winter, spreading warmth and joy through several successful service projects!
December: In December, a group of 10 dedicated NHS students brought festive cheer to the Waneka Park Senior Assisted Living Center. Beyond crafting beautiful Christmas ornaments with the residents, they went the extra mile and simply spent time visiting and connecting with them. This act of kindness left staff and families feeling incredibly grateful.
January: This particular project was driven by the desire to provide comfort to those in need. NHS took the initiative to create 30 cozy tied-fleece blankets, which were then donated to a worthy cause. Their thoughtfulness undoubtedly brought warmth and comfort to many.
February: To celebrate Valentine's Day, a group of 15 NHS students partnered with 65 elementary students from Soaring Heights. Together they created a beautiful collection of 100 Valentine's Day cards. These cards were then delivered with love to the residents of the Waneka Park Assisted Living Center, spreading joy and connecting generations.
NHS's dedication and compassion throughout the winter months have truly embodied the spirit of service.
