All HSoC students intending to walk at the graduation ceremony on May 24, 2023, will need to complete all coursework NLT (No Later Than) on May 12, 2023.

Cap and Gowns Graduation Info


To Date, Jostens has twenty eight (28) orders for cap/gowns. Parents and Students are strongly encouraged to place your orders now!


The deadline at current pricing is Feb 29th.


Students/Parents, the deadline to order your cap/gown at current pricing is quickly approaching. Please click on the below link to order your cap/gown and announcements for this year's graduation.


Any senior apparel ordered will be shipped to your address.


Cap/Gown and announcements will be delivered at school. The deadline to have your cap and gown delivered at school is February 29th.

Solar Eclipse

Event Information

Solar Eclipse

On Monday, April 8, 2024, much of North Texas will be in the direct path of a total solar eclipse, including Waxahachie. The North Central Texas Council on Governments (NCTCOG) estimates that Waxahachie could have as many as 100,000 visitors to witness the eclipse, and Ellis County could have more than a quarter of a million visitors.



Given the many unknowns about this day, including what traffic will look like after the eclipse is over, Waxahachie ISD has made the decision to close on Monday, April 8. Students will not have to make up this day due to the additional time that has been built into our academic calendar.


The district will provide each student with solar eclipse glasses, as well as information and activities for families watching the eclipse together. We thank you for your flexibility as we navigate this once-in-a-lifetime experience together.

State Testing E.O.C. ( End of Course) STAAR Exams

E.O.C. Testing Dates


Below are the testing dates for the various subject areas to be tested. as a reminder, if you haven't passed the corresponding exam it is a requirement f you to take that exam. All Students should show up no later than 8:15 on the date of the test.
