AVA Family Update

I have next week's schedule, the guidance and community updates, and important dates below as usual. Please note that Friday is again a half-day for students. I also have an important notice from the APS Special Education Department.

Our grades have closed for Trimester 2. I will be publishing report cards on Wednesday of next week. I will be contacting families personally if there are concerns about student performance. As we are a virtual school that emphasizes flexibility, problems that are revealed by the report cards can often be ameliorated by an extension or two.

Join us on March 26, 2024, for a presentation on the Basic Rights in Special Education and Meaningful Parent Participation. This presentation will provide an introduction to parents' rights and responsibilities under current federal and state special education laws, along with tools to help parents participate in their student’s education. Multi-lingual captions will be available. Please see this flier for more information.

Opportunities Fair

Reminder: School to Career will be hosting an Opportunities Fair next Wednesday, March 13th on the AHS campus from about 8:30a-9:30a. Click HERE for the flyer and more details. This is the perfect chance for AVA seniors and juniors, whether you plan to join the workforce after graduation or you are just looking for local job opportunities. There is no formal signup, but if you are interested in coming to campus that day and time, please email Ms Nellie or email the AHS Career Specialist Ms. Louryn Hoff (lhoff@attleboroschools.com).
