At least 100 local middle school students participated in a first-round essay competition. Judges selected 20 students to advance to the local live competition: a live quiz event testing civics knowledge. Joaquin was one of the 20 finalists. Kudos to Joaquin for representing RHMS well and making us proud! Kudos to Mr. Juan Castillo, 7th Grade Social Studies teacher, for sparking the interest for this event among our students.

STAAR Rally 2024
RHMS Administration held a STAAR Rally on Monday, April 15, 2024 to get our students pumped up for their upcoming STAAR assessments. Performances by our RHMS Cheer Squad and RHMS Band got everybody riled up and excited. Students and staff were reminded of the outstanding talent our students possess including but not limited to cheer, band, choir, athletics, art, etc. Mr. Moreno acknowledged all the phenomenal talent and stated that the time has come for students to demonstrate their academic talent not only to RHISD but to the entire state! "Let's hit these STAAR tests out of the park!"
