MST Weekly Update
April 12, 2024

Good afternoon to all of our MST family members.
3rd quarter report cards/progress reports were distributed to all students today in their Advisory. They are also published online in Aspen. At this point, a student should have 2s and 3s for the competencies in every class. If they still have 1s, they are most likely significantly behind pace and need to get a lot of work completed to get back on track. This is particularly important for seniors who are planning to graduate on June 15th. June 1st is the senior deadline to submit any past due work in order for it to be corrected and possibly resubmitted in time for graduation.
A reminder that every subject has an after-school makeup and help day. We also have tutoring available during the school day provided by our own National Honor Society students and students from St. Anselm College.
Next week will be our spring Spirit Week sponsored by the senior class. See details for each day below.

Congratulations to all of you for your excellent representation of MST. Good luck to our gold winners in the upcoming national competition.
Mass Casualty Drill
This coming week, students in our Criminal Justice, Health Professions, Fire/EMT and Cosmetology programs will be participating in a mass casualty drill event. This is a large scale, daylong event to provide the students in each of these programs an opportunity to experience what a mass casualty event might be like. They will use the skills that they learned in these programs to make on the spot decisions as to what would be the best course of action to provide services to those in need. This event is usually done every other year, but this will be the first since 2019 due to the disruptions of COVID in 2020 and the following year. The students pictured are practicing skills in back boarding required to transport an injured patient.
Scholarship Opportunities
We have over $15,000 in scholarship money to be awarded to our MSTHS students. Students need to fill out our MSTHS application to apply for these scholarships. The application can be picked up in the Student Support Center and must be returned to Ms. Stephen or Ms. Weiss by April 18th. The application is attached below. Do not worry if you have not yet received your FAFSA information as many students have not at this time.
Also, for members of the National Technical Honor Society, there are serval scholarship opportunities can be found at https://nths.org/scholarships-2/. NTHS is dedicated to providing scholarships to career and technical education students who choose a skilled trade as their career. Each year, NTHS awards over a quarter of a million dollars through these exclusive scholarship opportunities.
We continue to receive scholarships daily. Please remind students to check out the Xello Scholarship page, and our scholarship folder in SSC.

This year's prom is at The Farmhouse at Candia Woods on Friday May 10th from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. Announcements will be made when tickets are on sale now. There are NO exceptions to this, so please schedule any appointments accordingly. Students who arrive on time for school must be in school until at least 11:20. If they arrive late to school, they must be in school for 3-1/2 hours before they can be dismissed. No students will be dismissed without a note signed by a parent or guardian. There will be a meeting with all students attending the prom during Advisory that day.
