Washington Urban Debate League competition
I'm delighted to share some exciting news from last weekend's Washington Urban Debate League competition. In the Novice division, Jaslyn Hayford Winfall and Maia Wilson secured 14th place out of 35 registrants! Their remarkable performance, coupled with the guidance of their coach, Ms. Matson, is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Furthermore, out of hundreds of high school projects by 33 PGCPS high schools, Joseph Tinio, Michelle Aguin Lorenzana, and Nehemiah Howard were carefully selected to represent our school across three districts—Calvert, Saint Mary's, and Prince George's—at the 76th annual STEM Fair competition.
This reflects the exceptional talent and dedication of our students and marks a significant achievement for our school.
Please join me in congratulating Jaslyn, Maia, Joseph, Michelle, and Nehemiah, and the three previous students, Erykah, Christian, and Marleni, on their success. Let's continue to support and encourage them as they represent our school in upcoming competitions.
