Kindness Really Does Matter!
Principal's Message
Hello Wildcat Families!
On April 12 and April 17, Sullivan Middle School, in partnership with Bonsall High School, was honored to host So-Cal Indigenous Days, a celebration of the cultures and traditions of local Indigenous Peoples represented by students at SMS and BHS. Native American Students from both schools presented their rich culture and tradition on April 12 which was highlighted by local Bird Singers from the Pala Band of Mission Indians led by Wayne Nelson and Guy Trujillo on April 17. I would like to thank the Pala Tribal Council members who attended the event and all the students and staff who worked so hard to make this event a reality.

PARKING LOT INFORMAITON
Thank you, parents, for quickly responding to our parking lot safety concerns! I have received some feedback from our Bonsall Elementary parents that it is difficult to get to Sullivan by 3:00. I apologize if this has caused any of our family stress; please know I have secured parking lot coverage until 3:15 to ensure all of our families have time to pick up your student without feeling rushed.
Thank you for the feedback, families; I appreciate it!
If you have an emergency after school and cannot pick up your student by 3:15, please call the office or let your student know, and we can make arrangements after school.
Thank you for your help and communication!

STATE TESTING
Hello parents!
We are fast approaching our state testing for the 23-24 school year. The CAASPP ( California Assessment of Student Performance) is important because it is used as an indicator and measurement of ability not just by BUSD but Universities and other colleges. Students will be asked to participate in this assessment every year from grades 3 to 8 and then students will be asked to take the assessment again in 11 grade.
The teachers and students have been working hard all year learning the state standards within each subject area. The students have also been working especially hard these last few weeks of the year. A few teachers have send reminder emails to inform parents about our state testing coming up in the next few weeks.
I have put the dates and subjects that will be testing in the upcoming days. I have also included a link to general information about the CAASPP testing to help answer any general questions you may have. If you have any questions please call the office or send me an email.
Parents we will need your help during these times to make sure the students are:
- Charging their Chromebooks and brining their chargers.
- Good night sleep.
- Please talk with them about keeping their cell phones off and in their backpack or cell phone holder in the classroom, especially during the state testing window.
- Encourage them to do their best!
Thank you always parents for your support!
Here are the dates again:
