Prom Ticket Information
Rockland's Junior-Senior Prom will be held on Friday, May 24th at the Venezia in Boston. Coach buses will transport students to and from prom (departing from the high school), and all students are required to take the bus. Tickets will be sold from February 28th-March 8th. Read the following information in order to purchase a ticket!
Prom tickets cost $100. Pay in cash or check made out to “Town of Rockland.”
All students must fill out this Prom Contract Google Form prior to purchasing their ticket from Ms. DiCanzio in room 236. The contract form is your ticket once you’ve paid.
Prom tickets will be sold from February 28th-March 8th before school and after school (or during L block, if a senior has senior privilege) from Ms. DiCanzio in room 236.
If you are bringing a date that does not attend Rockland High School, you must fill out the Guest Request form (attached to this email) and have it signed by either Ms. Paulding, Mr. Damon, or Dr. Harrison by March 22nd in order to secure a ticket for them.
If you do not submit the Guest Request form to Ms. DiCanzio or the main office by March 22nd, you will not be allowed to bring an outside guest.
If you are bringing an underclassman from Rockland High School as your date, they must also fill out the Prom Contract google form (we will send it to them when they come with you to purchase a ticket).
If you are bringing a date from Rockland High School that is a Junior or Senior, and you are each paying separately, you do not need to come together to purchase your tickets.
If you pay for another person’s ticket, that ticket belongs to them, even if you decide not to go together later on.
When a ticket is being purchased for someone else, they must also be present when payment is given to Ms. DiCanzio (unless they do not attend Rockland High School).
No reimbursements after March 22nd if you decide to no longer attend prom.
If you have any questions or financial concerns, please see Ms. DiCanzio or Ms. Morrison (junior class advisor) in person prior to March 8th.
March 26th SAT School Day Testing Information
The in-School SAT option is on March 26th during the school day.
Students must be in their testing room no later than 8:10 as testing will begin promptly.
Testing rooms will be outside of the main office the week prior to the exam.
Students should:
Bring their fully charged chromebook and charger on test day.
Ensure that the BlueBook App they used for PSAT testing is still on their chromebook.
Know their test room before exam day.
Here are tips for taking the Digital SAT.
Official SAT Practice Resources can be found here.
Guidance Counselor Caseloads for the 24-25 School Year
This week I informed families about an upcoming change that will impact student/guidance counselor assignments starting in the 2024-2025 school year. For the first time in my eight years as principal, I will alter the alpha split breakdown of counselors assigned to students. I am sharing this information now, since we are beginning the scheduling process for next year next week with students.
Ms. Black, our guidance director, will no longer directly work with students beginning with the last names “A” or “B” starting next year. She will focus on her many other responsibilities as the middle and high school guidance director. All students will be assigned a counselor based on the following alpha split.
Mr. DeVine Last Names A-E
Ms. Morrison Last Names F- Me
Ms. Delaney Last Names Mf-Z
While most students will have the same counselor next year, some students may see a shift in their guidance counselor assignments next year. However, please rest assured that we will work diligently to ensure that all students receive the same support and guidance, regardless of any changes made. For our current juniors (next year’s seniors in the Class of 2025), counselors will collaborate to ensure the important postsecondary planning work is continued without disruption. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please do not hesitate to contact me.
