Principal's Message
Good afternoon Canby High School Students & Families,
It has been another amazing week at Canby High School. Students are showcasing their talents in a variety of ways. Our athletic teams are succeeding in the wins column and building valuable skills of dedication, grit, and teamwork. Our art show and talent show were wonderful events where students’ skills were on full display.
There are some great opportunities for the community to get involved. This evening is our alumni choir concert which begins a two day run. Next week is our Plant Sale sponsored by our Horticulture Program. Please see more information below.
CHS students are engaged in learning in their classes as well. Please check in with your student about their progress. Midterm grades come out on May 7, and we are looking forward to conferences on May 8. We love the opportunity to connect with students and parents so please mark your calendars.
Remember that attendance at school is very important to student success. There is a direct correlation between attendance, grades, and graduation rate. We want our students Ready to Learn--present, on time, and cell phones off--every single day.
Have a Wonderful Week!
Best,
Cari Sloan

The girls' lost some tough matches this week to Tigard and Wilsonville High Schools. The team fought hard in both games, demonstrating skill and resilience despite the losses. Every game served as a tribute to the effort and commitment that our players have been putting in practice.
A special shoutout to our number 1 singles player, Hadley Bierma! As one of our senior captains, she consistently demonstrates leadership and strength to our younger players. Despite facing two tough matches this week, she maintains a positive attitude and plays with unwavering tenacity, while persevering on the court.
