3rd & 4th Grade M-STEP Testing
Throughout the next few weeks, 3rd & 4th grade students will be taking the state assessment called the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP). As we approached the spring testing window, the teachers here at K.C. Ling Elementary have been working hard to help prepare the students for the M-STEP by taking time to work on the state-released practice items and to increase their comfort level with the technology-enhanced features of the test. 3rd and 4th grade students will be administered tests in ELA and Math. Classroom teachers will be sharing additional information with specific testing dates/times. This innovative service offers both a phone line and a chat feature, ensuring accessible, round-the-clock assistance.
The Gaggle ReachOut crisis line is more than just a helpline; it's a lifeline that fosters a personal connection—a crucial element often sought by today’s digitally savvy students. This service ensures that every student has access to a trained, caring professional ready to offer help in real-time at the very moment it's needed most.

In addition to providing immediate assistance, this service allows the school district to stay informed about their students' challenges. Regular reports on the usage of the crisis line will enable the district to understand better and address the needs of its student body.
